Books I read- “How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk”

If you have looked at my page well, you might have notice a section on parenting. I have created a ” 12 week challenge” to practice parenting skills based on “How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk” and “The Whole-Brain Child”. But let’s talk a little bit more about “How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk”.

The book is full of practical strategies that you can start implementing straight away. There are a lot of Q&As as well, which is very helpful. A summary at the end of each chapter can help you remember to practice the skill. The book is full of great exmaples and strategies, but if you read it and don’t practice it, most likely you won’t remember.

And of course, as it often happens, some strategies can be a great fit for you and your child and some can backfire. After few ” ohh…. mhhh” said to my son, I just got a weird face in response and a question “what’s wrong with you mummy, why do you say ohh… mhhh all the time”. So this one didn’t work out well for us 🙂
